A person with short purple hair and glasses sits on a couch, holding a mug. Dressed in a white shirt and jeans, they exude calmness, much like a registered social worker offering therapy to those seeking comfort and understanding.

Perhaps you’ve been carrying things on your own for a long time. Maybe it’s a complicated relationship with food and your body, questions around identity, or the lingering impact of past experiences – and you’re realizing that you don’t want to keep navigating it alone. You may feel high-functioning on the outside but internally overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in patterns you don’t fully understand. You know the coping skills and insight that therapy can bring, but in the moments when things hurt the most, those tools feel out of reach. You want support that goes deeper than surface-level strategies and gets to the root issues.

I believe therapy should be a space where your full self is welcomed – including your identity, your story, your hopes for change. My goal is to create a collaborative, affirming environment where you are allowed to unmask and move at a pace that feels safe while still working toward meaningful shifts in how you experience yourself and your life.

I’m a trained trauma therapist supporting people navigating complex trauma, eating disorders, neurodivergence, and LGBTQ+ experiences. My work is grounded in relational psychotherapy, informed by EMDR and IFS. Together, we work to process the experiences still held in your body and build a more compassionate, connected relationship with all the parts of you.

What are you reading right now?

Queering EMDR by Roshni Chandra

What’s your favourite way to spend free time?

Sitting by the water with an iced coffee, listening to audiobooks, walking with my dog, going for long drives with no destination, collaging

Who do you work with?

People typically come to see me because they’re struggling with disordered eating, trauma, depression, or anxiety. I work with adults of all ages.

What would you like for a client to say about working with you?

I would hope that a client would say that they felt truly seen and understood by me during our work together. I hope they’d say that my office was a safe place to them to bring all of their concerns, and they knew I wouldn’t judge them. I hope that they’d say they developed more self-compassion and a greater understanding of themselves.

Have you ever read a book that changed your life?

Trauma Stewardship by Laura van Dernoot Lipsky. I read this book in grad school and it transformed how I care for myself while I do the working of caring for others. I could read it over and over and learn something new about myself each time.

What is your favourite poem?

Lost

by David Wagoner

Stand still. The trees ahead and bushes beside you

Are not lost. Wherever you are is called Here,

And you must treat it as a powerful stranger,

Must ask permission to know it and be known.

The forest breathes. Listen. It answers,

I have made this place around you.

If you leave it, you may come back again, saying Here,.

No two trees are the same to Raven.

No two branches are the same to Wren.

If what a tree or a bush does is lost on you,

You are surely lost. Stand still. The forest knows

Where you are. You must let it find you.
